Parents Perspectives

-I love the warmth and family feel of the school. I really appreciate how incredible the principal has been. She is so present at all times. She always has time to talk. She has done such an amazing job this year and it has been a year full of surprises. The teachers are extraordinary. We feel their passion and big heart in everything they do. Let’s not forget the amazing Extended Day Staff. We are so lucky to have them. -4th grade parent
-We absolutely love the community, staff and families at SASP. Being a new family to the school last year, we immediately felt welcomed and the kids integrated very well into the new environment. I love the idea of morning assembly to start the day together with prayer and celebrate successes. I also feel that there is a good variety of extra curriculars available. The building feels modern and well maintained and we love the outdoor space for the kids to play/learn.
-Mrs. Horn and Ms.Donna were fabulous at helping with behavior issues and great with communication! I am very grateful for all their effort. I truly feel they are both wonderful people and make a huge impact on such young children that is very important in their development. The staff is really what makes the school great and everyone I have encountered has been very approachable and friendly. -pk4 parent

-I love Class Dojo follow ups during the day, sports help with inclusion, seeing families outside of school and at church with activities. The supportive nature of the families. The principal has increased communication by 100% and has initiated some great things. -5th grade parent
-I love the community feel. I truly feel like it’s an extended family. The gala this year was amazing and one of the best we have attended. The faculty and staff are wonderful people. -3rd grade parent
- Welcoming and supportive environment, sense of community, leadership and communication this year has been awesome! The opportunities for students that would not be available at a larger/public school, character building activities for students, various special theme weeks and out of uniform incentives. Lots of great changes this year like the Bravo board and other daily motivational themes. We are also excited for the Innovation Lab this coming year! -Kindergarten parent
-Our family feels very satisfied with the academic growth both of our children have made this school year. Both of their teachers have done a tremendous job to support our kids. They have both grown deeply in their faith and we love hearing the prayers they've learned in class and their lessons about God. We travel between church with SASP and my in-law's church...our children love attending church and we have seen an increase in their desire to attend since joining SASP this year. We love the smaller class sizes and smaller school/family community feel. We also love knowing the staff and front office faces...and that they know our children and family well. Additionally, we are thankful for the multiple opportunities to volunteer and support students and staff. Art class with Mrs. Norman has been so enjoyable for my child. I'm so impressed when I walk the hallways and see her projects with the kids. Communication strengths - Class Dojo, Seesaw, eThursday, teacher newsletters, front office when our kids have an accident or need to contact home Open-door policy with Ms. Augustyn. We want our family to be part of a positive school/community and model the importance of collaboration for our children. Buddy program - our kids just love this experience! -PK and K parent
